GENERAL PROVISIONS
This policy is drafted in accordance with Directive 2002/58/EC on privacy and electronic communications (ePrivacy Directive), as transposed into national legislation, and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
This policy explains what cookies are, what types are used on the alvashop.md platform, for what purpose, and how they can be managed by the User.
ARTICLE 1. DEFINITIONS
1.1. "Cookie" refers to a small text file stored on the User's terminal device by the platform server or by a third-party service, with the purpose of allowing device recognition during subsequent visits or ensuring the functionality of certain platform components.
1.2. "Strictly necessary cookies" refers to those modules without which the platform cannot technically function properly and which do not require the User's consent.
1.3. "Analytical cookies" refers to modules that collect statistical information on platform usage for the purpose of improving it.
1.4. "Marketing cookies" refers to modules used to track browsing behavior for the purpose of displaying personalized advertising.
ARTICLE 2. CATEGORIES OF COOKIES USED
2.1. Strictly necessary (technical) cookies — do not require consent.
These modules are essential for the platform's operation and cannot be deactivated without affecting basic functionalities. They include:
next-auth.session-token: manages the User's authentication session; duration: session / persistent (according to authentication settings); provider: Operator.
cookie-consent: retains the User's preference regarding cookies; duration: 1 year; provider: Operator.
Technical shopping cart modules: maintain the content of the cart during the session; duration: session; provider: Operator.
2.2. Analytical cookies — require the User's consent.
The platform uses Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google LLC, for statistical analysis of traffic and browsing behavior. The collected data is aggregated and anonymized through the activation of the IP anonymization function and does not allow for individual identification of Users.

2.3. Marketing cookies — require the User's consent.
In case the Operator runs digital advertising campaigns through Google Ads or Meta Ads platforms, conversion tracking and personalized audience building cookies may be placed. The User will be informed and will be able to express or withdraw consent through the preference management mechanism described in Article 3.
ARTICLE 3. CONSENT MECHANISM AND PREFERENCE MANAGEMENT
3.1. Upon the first access to the platform, the User is presented with an information and consent banner (Cookie Consent Banner) through which they can accept or refuse analytical and marketing cookies, separately from strictly necessary ones. Consent is free, specific, informed, and unequivocal, in accordance with Art. 4 par. 11 GDPR.
3.2. The User can change their preferences at any time by accessing the cookie management option available in the footer of the platform or in their account.
3.3. Independent of the platform's mechanism, the User can manage or delete cookies directly from browser settings. Deactivating strictly necessary cookies may cause the platform to malfunction, including the impossibility of authentication or completing orders.
3.4. Instructions for managing cookies in the browser are available at the official addresses of the manufacturers: Google Chrome (support.google.com/chrome), Mozilla Firefox (support.mozilla.org), Apple Safari (support.apple.com), Microsoft Edge (support.microsoft.com).
ARTICLE 4. MODIFICATION OF THE POLICY
4.1. This policy may be updated as a result of legislative changes, the introduction of new services, or other relevant circumstances. The updated version will be published on the platform with an indication of the date of entry into force.
